I am an urban ecologist interested in conserving biodiversity and functioning ecosystems in and around cities. My research mainly focuses on understanding the effects of urban development on ecosystems and the ways that people perceive nature in cities. My hope is that this research can provide insight into ways to design urban green spaces to benefit both people and other aspects of the urban ecosystem.
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the National Socio-environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) in Annapolis. You can check out my SESYNC profile here.
